USING A SINGLE-BOARD COMPUTER AS A NAS SERVE

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and computer technologies has led to the
development of single-board computers. Single-board computers are perfect for a variety of uses,
such as embedded systems, development projects, and educational settings. Commercial Network
Attached Storage systems come with various features and capabilities but are often expensive and complex. On the other hand, single-board computers are cost-effective and versatile. This article explores the potential of using single-board computers to create a Network Attached Storage system for aviation applications. The approach provides a cost-effective alternative to commercial Network Attached Storage systems. The use of single-board computers-based Network Attached Storage systems can also be extended to other industries requiring reliable and cost-effective data storage solutions. Additionally, the paper evaluates and compares the hardware components and potential applications by various providers.
